We’re pleased to announce that the Fifth Annual Fibres West was a huge success! We had 300 more people through the doors than last year, 100 students in classes, 10 new vendors and great comments from the general public re: free parking, great location and friendly staff and exhibitors.

We appreciate the time and effort that every vendor and exhibitor puts into their booth. We also thank all the wonderful students and customers who take the time out of their day to come and share our passions with us. Huge thanks to the teachers this year for offering such a great variety of classes, flax to silk and everything in between!

The show wouldn’t be able to run without our generous volunteers – special thanks go to Kathleen, Sheila, Marian, Lynne, Kim and Diana for their prep work on the show and to all the front counter volunteers who took time out to give us a hand. 

We will be setting the date for next year very soon – please check back. 

 

 

Our mandate is to bring spinning, weaving, felting, knitting, rug hooking, lace making and all other related fibre crafts to the general public. We hire Canadian teachers and we invite vendors from BC, Alberta, Washington and beyond to join us. 

This year we will be adding a Sheep to Shawl demonstration to the show, many thanks to the Peace Arch Weavers and Spinners for organizing this unique event.
