Welcome !  We’re excited to announce that the Second Annual FIBRES WEST will take place Friday, March 26th (10-8) and Saturday, March 27th (10-5), 2010.  The show will be at the same venue as last year, the AgRec Building on the Abbotsford Exhibition Park Grounds, 32470 Haida Drive, Abbotsford, BC (Exit 87 off of Hwy #1).  Our focus is on education and inspiration for all fibre artists. Our vendors carry the finest fibre, yarns and equipment to be had in B.C. - hard to find items, specialty fibres, they’ll all be here for two days only !

Admission is $7.50 for adults and $5.00 for students and seniors, children 12 and under free. Parking is free on the Exhibition grounds. IMPORTANT NOTE :  THERE IS NO BANK MACHINE ON THE PREMISES AND VENDORS CANNOT TAKE INTERAC ON SITE…. 

What’s happening this year ?  The Vendor Market in the main hall, goodies galore from local, BC businesses…. Classes in Spinning, Weaving, Felting, Drop Spindling, Knitting, Silk Fusion and kids felting (classes are filling fast - please sign up early to reserve your space).  Free Lectures in the main hall - Kim Werker on blogging, flickr and all the new web tools for communicating about our fibre obsessions, Kim McKenna on Dye Studio in a pot and Caroline Sommerfeld on the History of Spinning with special emphasis on the Drop Spindle.  In addition there will be the ever popular door prize draw, a cafe area and lots of demos by our expert vendors….
